Part of a series dealing with the theme of "racial profiling"
For this painting, I used police body cam video as reference and interpreted this incident using loose, violent brushstrokes along with over-emphasized light to wash away details. I used the same process in "Due Process 1" but in this painting, the victim is painted in warm colors with dabs of orange in his face. I wanted to contrast his humanity in this dehumanizing event.
